On November 15 at 3:15 PM, Kammersveit Breiðholts will offer an anniversary performance of Antonio Vivaldi's ever-popular Seasons, as this year marks the tercentenary of their first appearance in print.

In this period instrument performance, special emphasis is placed on evoking vivid images of nature and thus breathing new life into the works. Throughout the concerti, the instruments imitate a variety of natural sounds, which the composer specifically notes in the original print of the scores. Listeners will hear various species of birds, murmuring streams, barking dogs and buzzing flies, as well as the struggle of different winds, fleeing quarry and the pastor's plaint.
