About Us
Tix Miðasala ehf, which owns and operates Tix.is, is a ticket sales company that sells tickets for third parties to various events, as well as providing ticketing software for performing arts venues and culture houses.
Through Tix, millions of tickets have been sold since the company's founding. We serve many of the country's most prestigious cultural, music, and art venues, as well as handling sales for numerous event organisers and festivals.

Tix Miðasala ehf was founded at the end of September 2014, and the website was officially launched on October 1, 2014. From the beginning, our goal has been to be the best option for your ticket sales.
Tix sells tickets for all major music, cultural, and art venues in Iceland. Harpa, the National Theatre, the Icelandic Opera, and many others are among Tix's largest clients. We also manage ticket sales for individual promoters as well as larger event companies and festivals. Over the years, we have served over 1,500 event organisers with thousands of events, resulting in millions of tickets sold for our clients.
At Tix, a team of individuals works with decades of combined experience in ticket sales and the development of ticketing software. Our specialty is serving event organisers, and we are ready to guide you through the ticket sales process from start to finish.
Tix's parent company is called Tixly and operates in 12 countries. The company is Icelandic and headquartered there. Tixly specialises in providing ticketing software for cultural, theatre, and concert venues. The company employs more than 50 people, and through the company's innovative software, millions of tickets are sold annually to our customers. All general inquiries from ticket buyers should be directed to info@tix.is or by calling 551-3800. You can also send us a message on Facebook (tix.is) outside of opening hours, and we will respond at the first opportunity. The phone line is open every weekday from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM, but Tix staff are generally on duty at various times, so don’t be surprised if you receive a response in the evening or on weekends. Our goal is to answer emails within two business days, but we often respond sooner.
