Jazz Hrekkur is a family concert where jazz melodies are woven together with Icelandic folklore – tales of a time when the boundaries between the human world and the supernatural become blurred, and elves, hidden people, and even the undead might appear.

Vocalist Ingibjörg Fríða Helgadóttir, pianist Sunna Gunnlaugsdóttir, and double bassist Leifur Gunnarsson will introduce children to the world of jazz – while making sure not to scare them too much!

The music, composed by Leifur Gunnarsson, invites an energetic and educational experience with plenty of opportunities for the audience to take part through singing, clapping, and dancing.
