Ólöf Arnalds and Skúli Sverrisson autumn celebration at Kaffi Flóru

The beloved singer-songwriter Ólöf Arnalds and the widely traveled bassist and composer Skúli Sverrisson have been performing together for many years. The fruits of this successful collaboration include numerous acclaimed albums, such as Skúli’s cherished “Sería” series and Ólöf’s four solo records. Their work also includes the music for the play Saknaðarilmur at the National Theatre of Iceland, for which they received the Gríman Award.

Their latest project is Spíra, Ólöf’s fifth solo album, set to be released on December 5th this year. The first single from the album, Tár í morgunsárið, will be released on September 25th by the British label Bella Union. To celebrate this milestone, Ólöf and Skúli will host a special festive event at Café Flóra, featuring a blend of new and older works by both artists, along with a selection of carefully chosen cover songs.

For many years, Ólöf regularly held solstice concerts at Café Flóra, both in summer and winter, making this a particularly joyful return to these lush and verdant surroundings.
