At this concert, new works by Högni Egilsson for cello and piano will be premiered. Prosodia — the ancient Greek word refers to the invisible tone that lies beneath words and shapes their meaning.

The pieces were composed over the past six months and form a fantasia on conflict and contradiction.

Högni has for years been one of the leading voices in Icelandic musical life, known for his work in contemporary music, film, and the performing arts.

Performers are Hrafnkell Orri Egilsson on cello and Guðrún Dalía Salómonsdóttir on piano.
