DesignTalks 2025

The international conference DesignTalks will take place April 2nd 2025 in Silfurberg in Harpa, Reykjavík with the theme the Source.

The signature event for DesignMarch from the beginning, DesignTalks has steadily earned its place on the local design scene as the most important one. Yet again, an outstanding selection of designers, architects and creative leaders will take the stage and without a doubt, blow our minds.

Confirmed speakers so far include architect Lina Ghotmeh, who orchestrates her designs as an “Archaeology of the Future” and Ferdinando Verderi, a creative director responsible for some of the most radical fashion imagery of the past half decade. Philosopher Emanuele Coccia who guides us through the transient duality of our existence and the relationship with aesthetics. Architect Arnhildur Pálmadóttir, a versatile specialist with an entrepreneurial attitude and a passion for inspiring change in architecture and the construction of buildings. Fernando Laposse with works that address and celebrate the artisanal heritage of indigenous communities and the Lilja & Inga Birgisdottir of Fischersund Art Collective tell multisensory stories of the past in the present that engage all the senses.
