The Chalumeaux Trio and friends perform music by W.A. Mozart and his companions.

The Chalumeaux Trio was founded in 1990 by the clarinetists Kjartani Óskarsson, Óskar Ingólfsson and Sigurd I. Snorrasson. Upon Óskar's death in 2009, Ármann Helgason took his place in the trio. The members play most types of clarinet instruments. The focus of the Chalumeaux Trio's repertoire has always been contemporary music, and over the years the trio has performed numerous works, national and foreign, many of which have been contemporary to the trio. Another big part of the program is the works of Mozart. At this concert, Mozart's works for clarinet and basset horn will be performed, both complete works, but also compositions that he had not fully completed at the time of his death, but later people have completed. The repertoire also includes five nocturnes and one cansonette for three singers, clarinets and basset horn, which Mozart composed in the years 1783-1788 for himself and his friends to play and sing during good times at home. In addition, arias, duets and terzettas from Le nozze di Figaro and Cosi fan tutte will be performed, which Kjartan and Sigurður have transcribed for singers and clarinet instruments.

The Chamber Quartet is a classical vocal quartet that is part of the Chamber Opera and has been working since Jón appointed them in autumn 2021. G Kolbrúnardóttir soprano, Kristín Sveinsdóttir mezzo-soprano, Eggert Reginn Kjartansson tenor and Unnsteinn Árnason bass. They started performing together in Langholtskirkja under the direction of Jón Stefánsson, and then they all went to Vienna to study singing. Now they all live in Iceland and want to take an active part in promoting the opera art form in Iceland.
