In a world where contemporary communication has become a continuous stream of accumulating signals, the excess of openings and compulsive activity foreshadows countering elements such as closure, rest, pause, ritual, and silence. Using the artifacts and tools of amplification, can we reconfigure amplified noise to get closer to a sound of silence?

At the crossroads of dance and concert, Inga Huld Hákonardóttir and Yann Leguay reflect on the meanings of amplification. Responding to technological tools created to facilitate communication, they interrogate the compulsive pursuit of increasingly efficient connection.

no lemons no melon echoes a thirst for silence and its elusiveness. Despite, or perhaps through, the noise, how can we find the silence we need to unwind? What does that silence look like, and does it exist at all? In a performance that makes sound visible and silence audible, Inga and Yann seek to create a still point in a chaotic world that constantly inundates our senses with stimuli.
