RADIOHEART: The Drive and Times of DJ Kevin Cole is a documentary film that explores Kevin's deep passion for music and his unstoppable drive to share it. From Minneapolis’ iconic club, First Avenue, to a nascent Amazon.com, to the global reach of Seattle’s KEXP, all the way to Iceland and back, Kevin discovers and amplifies independent voices, surfs rising tech waves—and humanizes them—while overcoming addiction and spreading love to a world needing healing.

Directors Peter Hilgendorf and Andrew Franks craft a creative blend of intimate interviews with musical luminaries, including Jimmy Jam, Bob Mould, and Nanna Bryndis Hilmarsdóttir and Ragnar Þórhallsson from Of Monsters and Men, along with a treasure trove of archival footage and an impressive soundtrack featuring the music that defined Kevin’s career. RADIOHEART captures the story of a man who revolutionized radio, faced down personal demons, and ultimately used his passion for music to create a lasting legacy of community, healing, and innovation.
