Banana Dream is an ensemble consisting of musicians Tumi Árnason (reeds), Ingibjörg Turchi (bass, electronics), Pétur Eggertson (violin, electronics) Zekarias Musele Thompson (reeds) , petals (piano, reeds,) Magnús Trygvason Eliassen (drum kit, percussion) and Sólrun Mjöll (drum kit, percussion)

Working through avant-garde practises and collective free improvisation, the ensemble rarely rehearses. This performance will therefore transpire as a sort of radical act of listening and play where the musicians will negotiate and shape space, emotions, silence, sound and energy. The music will not begin from agreement but from attention allowing moments of beauty, uplift and freedom to emerge together.
