A Magical Christmas Adventure for the Whole Family

What does it take to melt the heart of a man who has forgotten how to love?

In London, more than a century ago, lives Ebenezer Scrooge — a wealthy but terribly miserly man with little patience for Christmas and even less for the people around him.

But on Christmas Eve, his life takes an unexpected turn.

As the clock strikes midnight, an extraordinary journey begins. Guided through the past, present and future, Scrooge must confront his memories, rediscover the joy of life and discover what truly matters.

A Christmas Carol is a new Icelandic stage adaptation of Charles Dickens's beloved classic, adapted and directed by Níels Thibaud Girerd.

Through acting, song, music, humour and a touch of Christmas magic, this timeless tale comes to life in a heartwarming theatrical experience for the whole family.

A story of loneliness and friendship, loss and hope — and the wonderful truth that it is never too late to change.

Premieres 5 December 2026 at Salurinn Concert Hall in Kópavogur, Iceland.

Performed in Icelandic.
