The quartet led by drummer and composer Scott McLemore. Joining him are Andrés Þór on guitar and pedal steel, Hilmar Jensson on guitar, and Nicolas Moreaux on double bass. The repertoire consists entirely of original, melody-driven music that leaves plenty of room for improvisation. The two guitarists engage in a musical dialogue, weaving together contrasting sonic landscapes, while the quartet follows its own path from one moment to the next. In recent years, Andrés Þór has increasingly focused on the pedal steel guitar, bringing a dreamlike and ever-changing quality to the music while extending the quartet’s sonic palette in new directions.
