Anúna á Íslandi

Anúna, Ireland’s National Choir, performs in Iceland for the first time in a candlelit concert of atmosphere, mystery and ancient resonance.

As evening light fades into darkness, Anúna’s voices create a landscape of memory, ritual and stillness, where ancient Irish culture meets the elemental atmosphere of Iceland.

The programme draws on more than a thousand years of Ireland’s rich and turbulent history, with music composed and arranged by Michael McGlynn and shaped by ancient texts, medieval fragments, traditional song and newly imagined soundscapes.

Anúna is the central ensemble of the Anúna Collective, which also includes M’ANAM and Systir.

Candlelit, intimate and otherworldly, this is a rare opportunity to experience one of the vocal world’s most distinctive musical voices in Reykjavík.
