We invite you to the birthday party of one of the greatest prodigies in music history, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The concert celebrates the composer's 270th birthday. Actor Halldóra Geirharðsdóttir takes concertgoers on a journey through different concert halls, countries and cultures that the composer was familiar with from childhood. Mozart was unique, energetic and fun, and also a bit of a prankster. The Iceland Symphony Orchestra, along with singers, performs selected works that paint a vivid picture of the birthday boy. At the end of the concert, we’ll join the orchestra in song and sing Hann Tumi fer á fætur.
This is a family concert, tailored to young audiences, and the concert lasts about one hour without intermission.
