On May 8th, BIM Iceland will host a conference in Silfurberg, Harpa, Reykjavik’s renowned concert and conference center. At the conference, speakers will discuss how digital transformations can enhance value creation and streamline design, construction, and operation of buildings and infrastructure. This year’s focus is on the shared foundations of digital construction—requirements, workflows, and data—alongside the use of artificial intelligence in design and analysis.

The conference is intended for all stakeholders and actors in the construction industry, including designers, contractors, clients, operators, and other professionals.

The conference program features speakers from diverse backgrounds who will deliver a wide range of presentations, offering valuable insights into current developments and advancements in digital construction.

In recent years, the conference has attracted between 250 and 300 attendees, all sharing a common interest in exploring all aspects of digital construction. This event offers a great opportunity to both expand your knowledge and network with colleagues in the industry.

The ticket price includes breakfast, lunch and a happy hour at the closing reception.

BIM Iceland is a non-profit industry association bringing together organizations involved in the design, construction, operation, and asset management of buildings and infrastructure.

The purpose and mission of BIM Iceland is to serve as a leading forum for collaboration, coordination, and knowledge sharing on the development, implementation, and standardization of BIM and digital technologies in the construction industry. The association promotes best practices and supports continuous improvement in the use of BIM and digital solutions to enhance quality and efficiency throughout the lifecycle of buildings and infrastructure.

BIM Iceland has recently established the buildingSMART Iceland chapter, further enhancing its capabilities and opportunities to achieve these goals through connections with buildingSMART International. With this, BIM Iceland is better positioned to lead the conversation on the opportunities presented by increased use of BIM and other technologies in the Icelandic market, thereby contributing to development, innovation, and efficiency in Icelandic construction.
