The performer, record producer and composer Magnús Jóhann Ragnarsson has in recent years fallen in love with one of the oldest electronic instruments in music history, the Ondes Martenot, designed by the French musicologist Maurice Martenot in 1928. At this concert, Magnús Jóhann will premiere new works by composers Ingibjörg Elsa Turchi and Tumi Árnason. Magnús Jóhann and composer and double bassist Bára Gísladóttir will also perform works from their upcoming album, featuring improvisations for Ondes Martenot and double bass.
