Song of the Rebel Flower

Song of the Rebel Flower (IS: Látið blómin tala) is conceived as a transgressive sonic ritual—an ode to mystic nature and revelrous other-being. The performance wishes to embody foreign rage and nature’s song through a live soundscape of Langspil, bassoon, electronic music, voice and dance.

Featuring one dancer and four live musicians, it explores themes of otherness, queer identity, Icelandic choral tradition, and ancestry.

Felix Urbina Alejandre is a Mexican dance artist, living in Reykjavik. Under the name "Beautiful Accidents” he wishes to host artistic collaborations that speak to the experimental body, poetic affects and creative rage. His explorations focus on the inner life of the performer, and often involve close collaborations with new music makers and performers.
