**General ticket sales for the Chamber Music Society'**s concerts begin on Culture Night, August 23, but until then, you can purchase The Chamber Music Society Pass at Harpa's box office and on Harpa's website. The passes will be ready for pick-up at Harpa's box office from August 23, when the Chamber Music Society will hold a short concert as part of Harpa's Culture Night programme.

String quartet lovers should not miss this concert, with two quartets in f-minor, op. 20. no. 5 by Haydn and op. 80 no. 6 by Mendelssohn in the forefront. In addition, String Quartet No. 2 by Jamaican composer Eleanor Alberga, which she composed in 1994, will be premiered in Iceland. The performers are among the leading members of the younger generation of Icelandic musicians. They all work abroad, but return home especially to perform this exciting repertoire.
