Vísnabókin  or The Book of Songs is a classic gem that has been a part of the life of many children and adults since it was first published in 1946. The book contains a selection of poems and songs with unforgettable illustrations by Halldór Pétursson. At this family concert, you can hear selected songs and medleys in new orchestral arrangements by Hrafnkell Orri Egilsson.
We will hear songs like Siggi var úti, Ég á lítinn skrýtinn skugga, Fyrr var oft í koti kátt, Hann Tumi fer á fætur, and Komdu kisa mín. The actors and singers Þórunn Arna Kristjánsdóttir, Sigurður Þór Óskarsson and Hallgrímur Ólafsson will perform with the Iceland Symphony Orchestra and the Gradual Choir of Langholtskirkja. Halldór's drawings will be projected onto the big screen in Eldborg Hall during the concert.
