Sanatorium Under the Sign of the Hourglass

A ghostly train journey on a forgotten branch line carries Jozef to a remote Galician sanatorium, where his dying father lingers in a surreal limbo. Upon arrival, he finds the institution in decay, overseen by the enigmatic Doctor Gotard, who claims that time moves differently there—his father's death has not yet occurred. As Jozef navigates this eerie realm, he discovers the sanatorium exists in a dreamlike state, where reality, memory, and time blur. Based on Bruno Schulz’s novel, this haunting tale explores the fragility of time and the elusive nature of existence.
