Get ready for a hot salsa night in the heart of Reykjavík!

Barrio 27 is a 16-piece salsa band founded in 2024 by percussionist Alexandra Rós Norðkvist. The band is known for its high-energy performances and a unique program that brings the dance floor to life. Their mission is to strengthen and grow dance culture in Iceland - and now you have the chance to be part of it.

On August 14, 2026, Barrio 27 will host their very first full salsa dance night at Sjálfstæðissalurinn by Austurvöllur (the former NASA venue). The evening begins with a short beginner salsa lesson at 20:30, so everyone can join - whether you're taking your first dance steps or you're an experienced dancer.

After the lesson, the band takes the stage at 21:00, filling the hall with live salsa rhythms that will keep the dance floor moving until midnight.
