On October 23rd, BIM Iceland will host a conference in Silfurberg, Harpa, Reykjavik’s renowned concert and conference center. At the conference, international speakers will discuss how digital transformations can enhance value creation and streamline design, construction, and operation of buildings and infrastructure. This year, the focus will be on topics related to Open BIM, digital administration of construction projects, as well as automation and artificial intelligence.
The conference is intended for all stakeholders in the construction industry, including designers, contractors, clients, operators, and other professionals. More details can be found here
As in previous years, the Minister of Infrastructure will deliver the opening speech, and speakers from diverse backgrounds will provide us with a wide range of insights into the latest developments in digital construction.
This year, over 250 attendees are expected, all of whom share an interest in learning about all aspects of digital construction. This event offers a great opportunity to both expand your knowledge and network with colleagues in the industry.
The ticket price includes breakfast, lunch and a cocktail reception at the close of the conference.
BIM Iceland is an association of entities involved in the design, construction, operation, and asset management of buildings and infrastructure. The organization's purpose and mission are to be a leading forum for consultation on the development, implementation, and standardization of BIM and digital technology in construction, as well as to encourage continuous improvement in the use of BIM and digital technology to enhance quality and efficiency throughout the lifecycle of buildings and infrastructure.
BIM Iceland has recently established the buildingSMART Iceland chapter, further enhancing its capabilities and opportunities to achieve these goals through connections with buildingSMART International. With this, BIM Iceland is better positioned to lead the conversation on the opportunities presented by increased use of BIM and other technologies in the Icelandic market, thereby contributing to development, innovation, and efficiency in Icelandic construction.
