Múlinn Jazz
Club: Brazil
A testament to Icelanders' wishful thinking, the nation observes a public
holiday in late April called First day of summer, even though temperatures
that time of year never exceed 13 or so degrees Centigrade. The day
after this years said holiday – supposedly the second day of summer –
there will however be some seriously tropical vibes on offer in the jazz
club: A mix of different Brazilian styles of instrumental music performed
by some of the busiest people on the scene. Choro, baião, afoxê, samba,
xote and whatnot, served with lots of percussion, electric keyboards and
brass.
