Guitarist Mikael Máni will perform new music with his band from his upcoming second solo album which was recorded in September 2020.
The music is inspired by people, movies and sentences which have sculpted his life and character - things that have encouraged him to think and feel, both good and bad. The band will also play music from Mikael Máni's debut album, “Bobby”, which he released with his trio in June 2019 but his compositions for “Bobby” landed him a nomination for the Icelandic Music Awards of 2020 and stellar reviews. Mikael’s more recent compositions introduce a new genre, namely “Jarm” which mixes jazz, impressionism and rock. The band members all have different musical backgrounds, ranging from classical and contemporary music to pop and jazz, enriching the music with a fresh and ear-catching soundscape.
