A journey through the war-torn region Donbass, Ukraine. This journey is a series of crazy adventures in which humour and tragedy mingle with the grotesque. In Donbass, war is called peace, hate claims to be love and propaganda masquerades as truth. This is not a tale about a single region, a country or a political system but about a world lost in post-truth. The film was screened in the Un Certain Regard section at Cannes, and Loznitsa was won the Best Director award.
