It is with excitement that once more the Reykjavik men choir have their advent choir in Hallgrímskirkja, one Reykjavik´s and Icelands landmark. The choir will perform three concerts, one on the 2nd of December at 17:00 and two on the 3rd at 17:00 and 20:00.

Along with the choir the opera singer Þóra Einarsdóttir, one of Icelands most prominent Icelandic sopranos, has performed in over a dozen of opera houses and music scenes in Europe and the United States.

As expected, the great organ in the church will also play a role in the concert, along with trumpets and kettle drums. The organ is a beautiful art peace built by the organ smiths of Johannes Klais company in Bonn.

It is an outstanding experience to have an opportunity to hear the performance of Þóra and the Choir, along with the trumpets and kettledrums that together form a festive advent moment to any person hearing it.

The trumpets are played by Ásgeir H. Steingrímsson and Eiríkur Örn Pálsson, the kettle drums by Eggert Pálsson. The great organ is played by Lenka Matéóva. The conductor is Friðrik S. Kristinsson.
