Blönduós-raised pianist and composer Eydis Evensen is poised to release her highly awaited second album, ‘The Light,’ on May 26th via XXIM Records/Sony.

Eydís has just announced a North American tour, which will include stops at National Sawdust in Brooklyn, the Lodge Room in Los Angeles, The Triple Door in Seattle amongst others this October. It will be Eydís' first tour in North America and follows the recent announcement of European touring in June.

Ahead of both the European shows and the album release, Eydís will be giving her home-country a glimpse of music from her 'The Light', as well as from her debut album Bylur and her Frost EP with a concert at Harpa Kaldalón on 21st May.

Eydís was also recently included in UK-based radio station Classic FM’s 30 under 30, “The 30 musicians under the age of 30 that we’re championing as Classic FM’s Rising Stars in 2023.” Classic FM is one of the most listened t0 Classical radio stations in the world.
