Ridley Scott’s breakthrough film is an immensely successful blend of horror and science fiction, full of high-tension, great performances and special-effects, making it a classic of both genres. ‘Alien’ focuses on the crew of the space cargo ship Nostromo who land on a moribund planet in response to a faint SOS. When a three-member team of the crew discovers a chamber containing thousands of eggs on the planet, a creature inside one of the eggs attacks an explorer. The entire crew is unaware of the impending nightmare set to descend upon them when the alien parasite planted inside its unfortunate host is birthed.
