Elskar þú Eurovision en elskar mannréttindi meira?
Klúróvision - a Eurovision-inspired variety show.
Do you love Eurovision but love human rights even more? Then we have the show for you! On May 17th there will be a festival of international music, fringe arts and peace in the National Theater basement called KLÚRÓVISION (“Lewd-o-vision”) This show contains everything we love about Eurovision, including but not limited to; glitter, wild costumes, wind machines, light shows and key changes - all packaged into a cabaret show you won’t soon forget! Prepare for laughter and lewdness, flirting and filth, glitz and glamour - and all set to our favourite Eurovision songs through the years. Participation in Eurovision lets Israel, a state that is actively committing genocide, whitewash their image in front of the international community.
But in our Klúróvision, Israel and other supporters of genocide are simply not permitted to participate. Simple as that. All proceeds from the show will go to ‘Félagið Ísland-Palestína’, the Iceland-Palestine organization that is actively collecting funds for humanitarian relief efforts in Palestine.
Suggested ticket price is 5.500 kr. And there will be a “pay-what-you-can” option at the door so that every supporter can enjoy the event as long as space allows.
Show starts at 9pm Please note that the show is not appropriate for people under the age of 18, people who fear the wonders of the human body or people who support genocide.
