Píanóleikarinn Jeremy Denk í Hörpu – 40 ára afmælishátíð EPTA á Íslandi.

Einn fremsti píanóleikari Bandaríkjanna, Jeremy Denk sækir Ísland heim í fyrsta sinn. Hann kemur til landsins á vegum Evrópusambands píanókennara á Íslandi (EPTA) en félagið fagnar 40 ára afmæli um þessar mundir.
 
Jeremy Denk hefur hlotið MacArthur “Genius” viðurkenninguna og Avery Fisher verðlaunin. Jeremy Denk kemur reglulega fram í Carnegie Hall en undanfarin ár hefur hann komið fram með Sinfóníuhljómsveit Chicago, Fílharmóníusveitinni í New York, Fílharmóníusveitinni í Los Angeles, Sinfóníuhljómsveit San Francisco og Cleveland hljómsveitinni. Auk þess hefur Denk farið í tónleikaferðir með Academy of St Martin in the Fields og leikið í Royal Albert Hall á BBC Proms.

Denk hefur fengið fádæma góða dóma þar sem hann hefur komið fram.
