Bio

ZOFIA TOMCZYK // artist from Poland, currently based in Iceland. Graduated from bachelor studies in Composition and Dance Techniques at Poznan School of Social Sciences in 2015. Currently a student of Master in Performing Arts Program at Iceland University of the Arts in Reykjavik. She is a co-founder of Kinestrefa Art Foundation in Poznan (Poland), Ambient Sundays collective in Reykjavik (Iceland) and a part of Ciche Nagrania record label in Poznan (Poland). She has worked on various dance-related projects with, among others, Joanna Lesnierowska and Janusz Orlik, Anna Godowska and Slawek Krawczynski, Mikolaj Mikolajczyk and Jan Komasa, Dalija Acin Thelander and Keren Levi. Received “Mloda Polska 2019” scholarship from Ministry of Culture and National Heritage in Poland and granted scholarship Alternative Dance Academy 2015, 2016, 2017 Art Stations Foundation by Grazyna Kulczyk (Old Brewery New Dance programme) in Poznan.
