From the
catwalks of Paris, to the office boardroom, FEMME is a solo theatrical dance
work by Australian choreographer/performer, Erin Fowler. Drawing on her
experiences as a fashion model and businesswoman, FEMME is one woman's search
for self within the cacophony of gender and sexual conditioning that
surrounds us. Winner of Best Dance in the 2019 Adelaide Fringe, FEMME
explores concepts of femininity and female sexuality, the female body, the
gender roles we conform to, or break against, and what it means to be
powerful in a largely masculine dominant culture.

**** 4 stars, The Advertiser
“FEMME is such a strong, playful and vulnerable exploration of femininity, masculinity and what it means to live in a world that is so obsessed with categoryising both.
“The laughs and then the slap. Every teenage girl should see this.”
"Thankyou for so succinctly and perfectly capturing what it feels like to be a woman consumed by society.
