Tónleikar með framúrskarandi ungu tónlistarfólki frá Norðurlöndunum

Orkester Norden er sinfóníuhljómsveit skipuð efnilegasta tónlistarfólki Norðurlandanna. Fjörutíu ungmenni hittast, æfa stíft og halda svo í tónleikaferð þar sem sígild tónlist er í forgrunni. Allar götur síðan 1993 hafa alþjóðleg stórmenni á borð við Esa-Pekka Salonen, Paavo Järvi og Vasily Petrenko stjórnað hljómsveitinni og miðlað menningararfinum áfram til næstu kynslóðar með sinni einstöku reynslu.

Orkester Norden er að öllu leyti norrænt verkefni, hljóðfæraleikarar, hljómsveitarstjórar, leiðbeinendur, skipuleggjendur, sem og fjármögnun – allar stöður eru skipaðar fulltrúum Norðurlandanna. Orkester Norden er suðupottur, þar sem hinn norræni menningararfur er í forgrunni, en ekki án áhrifa úr ýmsum áttum. Með þátttöku öðlast tónlistarfólkið unga ómetanlega reynslu sem það býr að alla ævi.

Orkester Norden
A Concert with the Greatest Young Talents from the Nordic Countries

Orkester Norden is a Nordic symphony orchestra composed of some of the greatest talents from the Nordic countries. During an intense rehearsal and concert process, 40 carefully selected young musicians have enjoyed and celebrated the world of classical music together. Since 1993, Orkester Norden has been conducted by some of the greatest conductors, all committed to passing on their cultural heritage to the future generations of orchestra musicians. Internationally renowned names such as Esa-Pekka Salonen, Paavo Järvi and Vasily Petrenko have provided the musicians as well as the audiences with unique experiences.

 

Orkester Norden is in every way an inter-nordic project. Musicians, conductors, instructors, the organisation behind the orchestra and the financial contributors all represent the Nordic countries. Orkester Norden is a melting pot, where the Nordic cultural heritage is strengthened and influenced by new impressions. It is the source of something profoundly precious that the participants all take with them in their future careers as musicians.
