Um viðburðinn

Á þessum tónleikum Reykholtshátíðar gefst tónleikagestum færi á að heyra flaututríó í g-moll eftir Carl Maria von Weber, uppfullt af fallegum laglínum og óperuskotnum tilvitnunum. Miller-Porfiris dúóið mun einnig flytja verkið “Fimm póstkort” eftir breska samtímatónskáldið Errollyn Wallen. Eftir hlé munu strengjaleikarar hátíðarinnar flytja hinn stórfenglega strengjasextett í A-dúr eftir Antonin Dvorák.

This program features the g minor flute trio by Carl Maria von Weber, full of exuberant melodies and operatic references. In addition the Miller-Porfiris duo will perform the piece “Five postcards” by the British contemporary composer Errollyn Wallen. After intermission the string players of the Reykholt Chamber Music Festival will perform the magnificent string sextet in A major by Antonin Dvorák.
