Um viðburðinn

Reynir er fæddur og uppalinn á Hvanneyri en hefur búið um árabil í Granada, Spáni þar sem hann vinnur sem Flamenco listamaður.
Hann hefur sett upp ótal tónleika hér á Íslandi og á Spáni með Flamenco hljómsveitum eða sem einleikari. Reynir er þekktur fyrir orkumikinn og tilfinningaríkan flutning í bland við skemmtilegar sögur og spjall á milli laga um líf hans í Andalúsíu.
Reynir del Norte gaf út sína fyrstu sólóplötu, El Reino de Granada, í desember 2019 sem jafnframt er fyrsta íslenska Flamenco hljómplatan. Platan inniheldur 8 tónsmíðar Reynis sem fluttar voru af honum sjálfum í samstarfi við nokkra af færustu Flamenco listamönnum Granada.
Reynir hefur einnig útsett fjölmörg íslensk dægur- og þjóðlög fyrir Flamenco gítar og flytur þau ítrekað á tónleikum.

Reynir is born and raised in a town called Hvanneyri in the west part of Iceland but he has lived in Granada, Spain for the past years where he works as a Flamenco artist. He has been introducing the beauty and magic of Flamenco to Icelanders in the past years with his spanish Flamenco group as well as a soloist. Reynir is known for lively and energetic performances with vivid stories in between songs from his journey through Andalucía.
Reynir del norte released his first solo album called El Reino de Granada in december 2019, which is also the first Icelandic Flamenco record. The album features 8 original compositions performed by himself with help from some of the finest Flamenco artists in Granada. He will perform the songs from the album on the concerts along with Icelanic songs and folk tunes arranged by himself for Flamenco guitar. The theme of the concert will be Icelandic Flamenco.
