Kvikmyndin White Reindeer Moss byggir handrit sitt á tveimur bókum eftir frægasta rithöfund Nenets-ættbálksins í Norður-Rússlandi, Önnu Nerkagi. Sagan fjallar um hinn unga Aleshka og óendurgoldna ást hans. Stúlkan sem hann elskar, Aniko, yfirgefur þetta litla frumstæða samfélag og verður til þess að Aleshka bíður hennar í tíu ár. Í kvikmyndinni er ljósi varpað á þennan frumstæða ættbálk sem mætti kannski helst líkja við Lappa í Finnlandi. Sagan snýst ekki síst um togstreitu forns samfélags og gilda sem margir teldu úrelt, og svo tækifæra í síminnkandi alþjóðasamfélagi sem þrengir stöðugt að lífsháttum frumstæðra samfélaga heimsins. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ English: Action takes place in tundra.
