Harry Potter and the Prisoner of AzkabanTM is the third movie in the franchise about the famous boy wizard, his friends Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger, and their perilous adventures. The film gained great popularity after its release in 2004, telling the tale of Harry Potter in his third year as a student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and WizardryTM. A dramatic series of events unfolds as Harry begins to look back into the past and investigate the connection between his parents, who died tragically when he was just a baby, and the escaped prisoner Sirius Black.
As ever, Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson star memorably as the wizarding threesome. The score by John Williams has a no less significant role. It was nominated for Best Original Score at the Academy Awards. Williams uses leitmotifs to represent the characters and capture the atmosphere of particular places. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of AzkabanTM is one of the most celebrated adventures of recent years and is vividly brought to life by the vibrant performance of the Iceland Symphony Orchestra.
The film is shown with Icelandic subtitles. It is recommended for viewers aged 8 and above.
