The late 1970s marked the emergence of neo-capitalism but also the emergence of artist Jean-Michel Basquiat. Through never-before-seen works, writings and photographs, the film offers insight into the teen years of Basquiat as well as into the cultural atmosphere of New York, which was on the brink of change.
