300 singers from Senior’s Choirs in Iceland sing beloved icelandic choral works and melodies.
The 300-person mixed choir is composed of singers from eight senior citizens choirs from the metropolitan area, Suðurnes, Selfoss and Akranes.
The idea is the idea of opera singer Garðar Cortes,
who also conducts the choir.
Pianist: Sigurður Helgi Oddsson.
The Mixed Choir National Organization organizes the concert.
The programme consits of Icelandic choral works and songs that have been the core of the strong Icelandic choral culture for decades. There will also be some Christmas songs on the programme and songs where the audience is invited to participate.
