Kristín Ragnhildur Sigurðardóttir and Arnhildur Valgarðsdóttir will perform popular classical romantic german lieder by Franz Schubert, Rachard Strauss and Gabriel Fauré. Kristín and Arnhildur have worked together for years and performed together both in Reykjavík and the countryside.

Kristín began her music studies in Tónskóli Sigursveins D. Kristinssonar, and finished 8th grade from Söngskólinn í Reykjavík 1993. Her teacher was Ragnheiður Guðmundsdóttir. In 1993-1996 Kristin studied opera singing in Italy with Rina Malatrasi. In 2001 she completed her singing-teachers diploma (LRSM) from Söngskólinn í Reykjavík with Þuríður Pálsdóttir. She performed some operatic roles with the Óperustúdíó Austurlands. She has performed with choirs, various orchestras and chamber-groups. Kristin currently works as a singer and singing teacher at Söngskólinn í Reykjavík since 2017.

Arnhildur Valgarðsdóttir began her piano studies at 7 years old at The Music School of  Kópavogur and two years later at the Akureyri Music School from where she finished 8th grade, and worked for a while as a piano playe for example at the Akureyri Theater. Then she went to the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, from which Arnhildur graduated in 1995 with a BA degree and a CPGS diploma in piano with singing as a second subject. Arnhildur is very active in Icelandic music life and works both independently as a pianist and in collaboration with various musicians. She has performed in numerous concerts both in Iceland and abroad. Arnhildur graduated with a church organist degree from the icelandic national church music school in 2010 and works an organist and a choir director at Fella and Hólakirkja Church. In addition, Arnhildur has performed a lot of solo pieces for piano by the composer Leoš Janácek. Arnhildur is a musician in constant development and has now expanded her range, pursuing jazz piano studies and singing.
