Winds from all directions

The Reykjavík City Band will be playing in the Kaldalón hall in Harpa, Reykjavík on March 26th at 8:00 PM. The programme draws from various genres where winds and varied percussion instruments have shone: rock, jazz, funk and latin pop, among others, from artists such as Stevie Wonder, Jaco Pastorius, Gloria Estefan and Blood, Sweat & Tears. In addition, the song Baldursbrá by Arnljótur Sigurðsson of the reggae band Ojba Rasta will be performed in a new wind band arrangement by Daníel Sigurðsson, who plays the trumpet with both Ojba Rasta and the City Band.

The Reykjavík City Band was formed in 1922 with the merger of the wind bands Harpa and Gígja and is the oldest continuously active band in Iceland.

Ticket price: 2500 ISK, children 0–16 years: free of charge. The concert starts at 8:00 PM. Welcome.
