FÓSTBRÆÐUR MALE CHOIR - CENTENNIAL CONCERT

Fóstbræður Male Choir will give a Centennial Celebration Concert in Eldborg in Harpa Friday November 18th at 8 pm.?

Conductor: Árni Harðarson.

The programme: Premiere of new Icelandic works commissioned by the choir, music by Benjamin Britten and Samuel Barber, new arrangements for choir and big band and well known songs made popular by a vocal group within the choir in the sixties and seventies,

Performing with the choir: Singers Benedikt Kristjánsson, Egill Ólafsson, Jakob Magnússon and Högni Egilsson, pianists Steinunn Birna Ragnarsdóttir and Kjartan Valdemarsson, Reykjavík Big Band and many others.

Fóstbræður Male Choir was founded in 1916 and has ever since been one of Iceland‘s leading male choirs. The choir performs a wide range of repertoire and has through the years collaborated with many of Iceland‘s greatest artists, appeared on regular occasions with Iceland Symphony Orchestra and has won prizes in international choir competitions.??
