New Album ‘Higher Truth’ Out Now
It is with great pleasure that we announce acclaimed singer and songwriter Chris Cornell will be showcasing songs from his new album, Higher Truth, and his entire catalogue at Harpa Music Hall on 23rd March 2016. Following the huge success of his recent U.S. tour, Cornell is starting his Europe tour in Reykjavík before crossing the continent.
Cornell will perform his one-man, acoustic show with songs spanning his entire career, including tracks from his new album Higher Truth which was described by Metro as “heartbreakingly effective”, with Kerrang! Magazine proclaiming it as ‘one of the best records Chris has made in the last 15 years.” Produced by Brendan O’Brien (Bruce Springsteen, Pearl Jam, Neil Young), Higher Truth showcases Cornell's constant evolution as a master songwriter, lyricist and musical craftsman – telling human stories, which transcend musical genres. Inspired by the stark arrangements of musicians like Nick Drake, Daniel Johnston and White Album-era Beatles, Cornell creates a musical universe unlike anything he has done before.
Chris Cornell was the chief architect of the 90s grunge movement and remains one of the most iconic rock voices of all time. Achieving multi-platinum success with three legendary bands - selling over 30 million records worldwide - he has forged his own unique identity over three decades as a Grammy award-winning, Golden Globe nominated singer, songwriter, guitarist, composer and lyricist.
Ticket sales for this unique event will open on Thursday November 12th at 10 am.
