The St. Petersburg Festival Ballet returns to the stage of Eldborg, performing one of the most beautiful pearls in the history of dance, Swan Lake. This time the Russian dancers will perform this magnificent piece, accompanied by the Iceland Symphony Orchestra.

St. Petersburg is the cradle of the famous Russian ballet created by Marius Petipa in the 19th century. There are many famous state theatres in St. Petersburg such as Mariinsky and Mikhailovsky. These theatres very rarely go on tour outside Russia, and therefore very few ballet lovers of the world are able to see the famous St. Petersburg ballet. The St. Petersburg Festival Ballet was created in 2009 to represent the best traditions and spirit of St. Petersburg ballet. The company has for the past five years performed on some of the biggest stages of Europe and enjoyed great success in countries such as Germany, Austria, Italia, Finland, Sweden, Poland, Iceland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Croatia and Slovakia.
