Hanna graduated from the Leipzig University of Music in 2022, where she studied singing under the guidance of Prof. Carola Guber. Hanna previously studied singing at the Reykjavík Singing School and completed her postgraduate studies there under the guidance of Ólöf Kolbrún Harðardóttir. In 2016, she received a scholarship from the Vilhjálmur Vilhjálmsson Memorial Fund to study at the Singing School and in February 2021 a scholarship from the Heimir Klemenzson Memorial Fund.

Hanna sang the role of Papagena in The Magic Flute at Theater Rudolstadt in 2021 under the baton of Oliver Weder and directed by Naima Märker and was also one of the winners of the Young Soloists Competition organized by the Icelandic Academy of Music and the Icelandic Chamber Orchestra. She sang a solo in a concert with the Iceland Symphony Orchestra in 2022.

Hanna has experience in directing and playwriting, and she did an internship in opera directing with director Susanne Knapp in 2022. She sang a solo at the Reykholt Festival and also sang the role of Óli Lokbrá in the Chamber Opera's production of Hansel and Gretel, both in 2024 . Hanna was the winner of the Vox Domini singing competition in early 2024 and was also awarded the title Voice of the Year. Hanna has worked in theater and film alongside music and directed her first short film in the summer of 2023, Anima Mea, which will be released in 2025.
