Iceland Symphony Orchestra
To celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Iceland Symphony Orchestra, the orchestra invites children and their families to Harpa, where a diverse program will be offered for the youngest audience in Flói.
The program will include Children's Hours with magician Lalli, where the orchestra will play a variety of fun music while Lalli works his magic. The ever-popular musical adventure of Peter and the Wolf will be performed in the afternoon, with Barbara the clown, Halldóra Geirharðsdóttir's best friend, telling the story. Conductor is Ross Jamie Collins. Musicians from the Symphony will introduce their instruments to curious visitors and Maxímús Músíkús will of course come by. Hljóðhimnar in Harpa will also be open, a place where children and their families can discover the magical world of sound and tones.
Children's Hours will take place from 11:30–12:00
and 12:45–13:15
Peter and the Wolf will be performed from 15:00–15:30
The house opens at 11:00 for guests, and everyone is warmly welcome to celebrate the anniversary with the Iceland Symphony Orchestra.
