About
The band is a quartet led by brothers, saxophonist Ólafur and bassist Þorgrímur with drummer Matthias Hemstock and multi-reed instrumentalist Haukur Gröndal. All of them have played with the creme de la creme of the Icelandic music schene and have been quite active in recent years with own projects or in collaboration with others. At this concert they will be performing fairly new material, written by the band members for this special occasion, but also older material adapted for this line-up. Thoughtful and melodic compositions are at the forefront showcasing the strength of the quartet.
