At the opening of Dark Music Days 2025, students from the Vesturbær and Miðbær School Band will premiere a new collaborative work. This piece was composed by the students for the opening of this year’s festival. The festival’s opening will take place at Hörpuhorn, opposite Eldborg Hall on the 2nd floor of Harpa, and the event is open to all.

The group is directed by Ingi Garðar Erlendsson, who is also the project’s mentor.
The project is supported by the Children's Culture Fund.
