The Hnúkatheyr Wind Octet and associates perform Mozart´s Gran Partita to celebrate Harpa´s 10th anniversary. Gran Partita is by many considered the crowning glory of the Harmoniemusik of the Classical Era, and it is one of Mozart´s most popular pieces.

The Hnúkatheyr Wind Octet was formed in 2003 and has since performed on regular basis both classical wind serenades and premiered new Icelandic works among other compositions of the genre. The Icelandic word Hnúkaþeyr stands for a warm southerly wind.
