Release concert of Asgeir Asgeirsson´s third and last cd of his folksong trilogy.

He has travelled with the Icelandic folksong to Eastern Europe and to the Middle East.

For the last decade the well known Icelandic guitarist has been travelling and studying folkmusic and instruments in Bulgaria, Greece,Turkey, Morocco, India and Iran and with that influence he has written extra parts and melodies and added them to old Icelandic folksongs.

He has made three cd´s, in 2017 Two sides of Europe with Turkey´s finest musicians, in 2018 with Trakia ensemble from Bulgaria and in 2020 Persian path with some of Tehran´s finest musicians.

In this giant project over 40 musicians from eight countries have appeared on these albums along with Asgeir and one of Iceland´s finest female vocalist, Sigridur Thorlacius.

Release concert for Persian path is in Flóa Hörpu on the 30th of september at 20:00
